First of all, let’s face it: Beautiful teeth make a beautiful smile. While upturned lips offer a teasing smile like that of the Mona Lisa painting, well-formed and nicely cared for teeth make a smile truly memorable. Most of all, smiles touch a person’s soul with positive emotions like joy or affection. Accordingly, a smile is one of our most attractive and meaningful assets. If your smile could be better due to misaligned teeth, rest assured that a competent orthodontist can give you the smile of your dreams.
Get a Thorough Evaluation
An orthodontist can provide a detailed examination of your mouth and teeth for a comprehensive evaluation. Using x-rays and visual observation, he or she will examine the oral structures, including the jaw line and palate, to see which type of treatment can work best to improve your dental alignment. A detailed plan will be discussed to determine the best course of treatment.
Be Fitted with Braces
If your teeth can benefit from metal brackets and wires, you may be offered a variety of techniques. For example, Invisalign is nearly invisible to others, and it is often the choice of treatment for teens and others who work closely with the public. Routine checkups will ensure the treatment, whether Invisalign or another technique, is working as planned.
Follow Up with Post-care
When your teeth have moved into their designated positions and any other corrective work has been done, the braces will come. Finally, now it’s your turn to continue caring for your teeth by wearing retainers if recommended, and practicing good dental hygiene to keep your teeth healthy and attractive.
