Braces have many benefits, including giving you the beautiful smile that you want everyone else to see. There are reasons why you might need braces, and after you get them off, you will see a big difference in the way your teeth and mouth appear.
The Possible Suspects
Crooked teeth are the most common reason why you would need braces. When they are applied to the teeth, the brackets and wires will start to pull each individual tooth so that they will be straight when they are removed. This process might take a few months up to a couple years, but you will see through the process that the teeth are moving.
Crowding of the teeth is another reason why you might need braces. This is when there are too many teeth in the mouth for them to line up straight. Some of the teeth might grow in sideways, causing a look that is not pleasant. This can wreak havoc on your self-esteem, but when you have braces, you will see that they can treat the overcrowding so that you have a beautiful smile.
If you notice an overbite or underbite, you might not be able to eat some foods properly. The teeth will come together in the proper way so that the bite is aligned. Many people have a bite that is less than perfect, making braces an ideal solution for the teeth and mouth. Braces can help in general health issues like breathing. When the teeth are not aligned properly, the breathing can be hindered.
