Orthodontics For Children
Early Orthodontic Treatment
The American Association of Orthodontics recommends that every child visit an orthodontist by age seven. An early examination allows us to detect and evaluate problems and plan appropriate treatment for maximum improvement. In many patients, early treatment may be initiated to prevent more serious problems from developing. This early intervention can make orthodontic treatment at a later age shorter and less complicated.
Problems that may be treated at an early age include: crowded or misplaced teeth, bad bites including excessive overbite, underbite and crossbite, thumb and finger habits, and early or late loss of baby teeth.
Dr. Gluck is also specially trained to treat children with cleft lip and palate and other congenital anomalies.
Comprehensive Orthodontic Treatment to Include Children and Adolescents
This includes conventional braces to correct crooked teeth and bad bites. Orthodontic correction allows for healthier teeth and gums, improved chewing from properly aligned teeth and bites and increased confidence from esthetically pleasing teeth.
